No More Heroes
Building a visual identity for a new Los Angeles bar

It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the choice on offer if you’re looking for something a little stronger in Los Angeles; from Hollywood Boulevard to Rodeo Drive, the streets are lined with bars for all tastes and budgets.

No More Heroes, on the famous Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood, is a laid back, chic neighbourhood bar paying homage of sorts to classic musicians throughout the last century. They got in touch and asked us to develop a physical and digital experience that would make them stand out in the crowd.

From the outset, our question was “how do we make No More Heroes different”.

Los Angeles is always changing, and we needed to make sure what we created could stand up to change. We worked with the No More Heroes team to establish a brand direction aligned with their target audience, bringing their own unique personality forward to build an experience that made No More Heroes memorable.

By creating a physical and digital experience through web and print, we’ve been able to give No More Heroes the edge. Since opening on the 27th April 2018, they’ve become a firm favourite with WeHo locals and tourists alike, making NMH the ‘go-to’ bar in Los Angeles.

Launching a new bar in a competitive market like Los Angeles demands a cool visual to communicate the brand. We worked with A Glass Half to develop a unique impactful identity then implement it across web, menus, business cards and exterior signage. The logo really stands out and works well no matter how where we apply it and the simple scrolling website delivers a very clean, image-led experience for our customers.
